Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana has a passion for the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. She was taught by her mother to sing. However, she started intensive vocal training through Flavio Belcerra at 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera singer and tenor. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. While a young student and professional, she performed with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. She is involved with many local initiatives in both teaching and performer because of her love for music and arts. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
