Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress who is best known for the films Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. In the 1980s, she began her acting career. She became popular with the role of Tezaab in which she appeared alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next appearance on screen was Dil with Aamir. Early on, as a girl growing up in Mumbai's middle class she learned to dance. At the age of 15 began acting, but was not successful as a lot of her movies were unsuccessful. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and she became one of the top actresses in the Indian film business. After her wedding ceremony, she took a brief break from her acting career until she returned. She was a key character in Gulaab Gang, a film focused on women's struggles in India. Dixit is nominated in 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her fame is based on her charitable work as well.
